Angular Units

Angle is a geometric figure formed by two rays emanating from a single point. The most common way of measuring angular quantities is a degree (angular) measure.

Units of angular measure and their ratio:

• 1 Sextant [sct] - one sixth of the circumference = 60 °
• 1 Radian [rad] = 57.295779513 °
• 1 Degree [deg] = 1 °
• 1 Arcminute ['] = 0.016666666666666666 °
